Alei Katan is an intentional preschool for two, three, and four year olds, where every part of the day is thoughtfully guided to nurture growth in heart, mind, and soul.
Our teachers are carefully chosen and deeply trained to see and respect the divine spark within each child. Their warmth, love, and understanding create a space where every child feels seen, valued, and connected — laying a lifelong foundation of confidence, connection, and purpose.
These early years are a sacred time when children begin to discover who they are. Through warmth, curiosity, and guided exploration, they develop a deep sense of belonging and identity, ready to share their own light with the world.
Before founding Alei Katan, Dvora spent years working as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, supporting children who were struggling in school — academically, socially, or emotionally. Again and again, she noticed the same thing: the child usually wasn’t the problem. When the environment became calmer, expectations became age-appropriate, and teachers responded with connection instead of correction, children who had been struggling began to thrive.
That experience led to one question: what if a preschool were built from the ground up around what children truly need? Every classroom, every routine, and every response to behavior would be thoughtfully designed to help children flourish — because every child is inherently good, full of potential, and worthy of dignity and respect. That question became Alei Katan.
Now in our fifth year, we’re grateful to watch that vision come to life in the confidence, curiosity, and kindness of the children who grow here — and in the families who partner with us along the way.
